Here are a load of links that I could highy recommend. There are all kinds of sites listed here including development related sites, sites that friends have or just something else that I found extremely interesting and worth putting here.

    Extremely good game development site with a very active/friendly forum.
  • Gamasutra
    The art & business of making games - Contains a number of very interesting game development related articles.
  • flipCode.net
    flipCode is now closed, but used to be a very active site. You can still however access their article archives
  • MSDN
    Microsoft Developer Network - Very good reference site for windows based (and other) development
  • OpenGL.org
    OpenGL's official site. Contains all the information about the OpenGL 3D graphics API along with news, coding resources and a useful forum.
  • DevMaster
    Your source for game development - contains game development news and a number of articles
  • NeHe Productions
    A really good starting place to learn OpenGL. Is being completely overhauled at the moment as it is starting to get a bit dated

  • Gamespot
    Contains reviews, screenshots, videos, etc of games for all major gaming platforms.
  • GameDaily
    Another site with game reviews for all major platforms.
  • IGN Entertainment
    Yet another game review site, has a bit more of a commercial feel to it but still contains useful information

  • InterfaceLIFT
    Nice site with loads of free hi-res wallpapers amongst other things

    The largest art community in the world
  • Arosa Bergbahnen
    Place in Switzerland I go snowboarding in the winters
  • Engadget
    Reviews and tips about all the latest technology and gadgetry
  • Mathworld
    All you could ever want to know about mathematics...on a single site!

Skydiving

    Probably the best skydiving website out there.
  • SkydivingMovies
    You can find loads of skydiving movies here for every single discipline
  • Skydive York
    York University's skydiving club
